Kayla has been in the insurance industry since 2013 and currently runs the Payne & Brown Insurance office in Upper Sandusky, where she also owns and operates Crossroads Crops Insurance Agency.
Licensed in property and casualty insurance, as well as life insurance, Kayla can serve your needs when it comes to farm, home, auto, life, commercial and excess market insurance. Taking her education to the next level, she earned her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2018 and is currently taking courses to obtain her Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist designation.
Growing up on a farm and earning a degree in agriculture from Ohio State University, she is passionate about the industry and enjoys working with farmers. An advocate for agriculture, Kayla is involved in the community being active in Wyandot County Farm Bureau (past president), a local 4-H advisor, as well as being on the Riverdale and Upper Sandusky FFA Ag Ed Advisory Boards and Wyandot County 4-H Advisory Council and Endowment Committee. In 2019, Kayla was awarded both the Upper Sandusky FFA Honorary Chapter Degree and the Ohio FFA Honorary State Degree for her support of the FFA and work within the agriculture industry.
Occasionally, she plays chauffeur for her brothers during planting and harvest seasons on the farm and enjoys hanging out with her five nieces and nephew. With a background in communications, Kayla still writes a few articles for “The Ohio Soybean News” and offers portrait and wedding photography in addition to custom crafts and gifts through her part-time business, Creative K.
